2007 - Unexpected Records. A laid back, fully optional jazzy - hip hop release from Arts the Beatdoctor (his first). It stirs up a complex stew of emotions: melancholy being one of the most tongue-catching ingredients, supplemented by foreboding, a few tablespoons of tension and a few splashes of atmospheric and cinematic jazzy hip hop beats. With featurings by Pete Philly, Skiggy Rapz and The Proov, Transitions became a very personal and introspective album "which can't be left unnoticed by anyone interested in true music". I find Transitions as a easy listening/ mellow/relaxing , but quite complex album. Jazzy hip-hop/ downtempo.

Serialul de comedie britanic cel mai original din ultimii ani alaturi de The Office, a revenit cu seria a 3-a a peripetiilor celor doi indescriptibili aventurieri prin timp si spatiu, Howard Moon si Vince Noir. Personajele hilar de stranii care apar mai mereu, referintele muzicale la tot pasul (inclusiv cameo-urile de trupe) si momentele suprarealiste absolut delicioase il fac un must see pentru orice cetatean respectabil. In primul episod, niste aluzii savuroase la nu-rave si o melodie geniala cantata de personajul victorian de esenta Jack The Ripper, The Hitcher.

1994's Musik (Plus 8) - Plastikman. It offers a mature synthesis of his technique and his vision. Other than the techno locomotive of Goo, the album does not contain anything that can be easily related to existing styles or genres. There is a strong psychedelic undercurrent, and deviant metabolic units that border on industrial music, experiments in sound that only accidentally include regular beats. "Taken as a whole, Musik masterfully covers all aspects of the minimal techno spectrum, from acidic anthems to ultra-minimal explorations and back, in the process showcasing Hawtin's staggering command of the Roland 303 and 909 drum machines as well as his brilliant grasp of album-level continuity". 2007 Audiomatique label. The Trentemoller Chronicles is pitched as a distinctly two-sided affair: one disc is a mix of Anders' own singles, B-sides, new and unreleased work; the other, an unmixed selection of his remixes. At first glance, these disparate track selections pit dancefloor detonators against bedroom listening, the sound of the big room versus that of the small, dark room. This mix ebbs and throbs with his organic fusion style, melding live instruments with clanging electronic sounds, beats, and lots of ambience for a spacious, yet danceable experience that works equally well in the big room/cabinets and the easy chair/headphones. 1998 Fila Brazillia's Power Clown (Pork Recordings). It continues the eclectic excursion in latin, funk (this time better integrated into the album) and noir. All thier relsease that sprang out in the 90s deserve a eligible listening, a complex reach of electronica downtempo via Trip - Hop and Acid Jazz/Funk. Critics mention Brazilification as one of the most edible mixes of the 90s.

Can you please take two minutes today to send an urgent message to Europe's Energy Commissioner, calling on him to oppose the plans for a new nuclear power plant in Bulgaria? The European Commission is to give its opinion under Euratom Article 41 to 44 on the Belene nuclear power plant in (very) early December. If they say "ok", it opens the door to Euratom loans for this nuclear plant, as well as similar loans from the European Investment Bank (EIB). The Bulgarian Government has already reserved money for a government guarantee of ?300 million for Euratom loans and another ?300 million of EIB loans. So far, we have been able to keep the Belene nuclear plant in a financial quagmire. This would change if it gets Euratom finance - banks would be less reluctant to take the risk of investing in this project. The risks are far too high. Even back in the 1980s, Soviet scientists warned that the area around Belene is seismically active and thus unsuited for a nuclear power station. During the last large earthquake in the region, over 120 people died just 14 kilometres from the planned site of the nuclear power plant. In the early 1990s, nuclear plans for Belene were scrapped and the first democratically elected government in Bulgaria concluded that the project was, "technically unsafe and economically not viable". This was shortly after the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences issued a study that ruled against the project and specifically warned against the seismic risks at this location. Send a message to the European Commission not to play Russian Roulette with our future. European taxpayers' money must not be used for a project that will put millions of people at risk.

Pentru lectura comoda, apasati ctrl si tasta +

Izolatie temeinica, fum mult, gros, ca la Fabrica. Multi working class lads and gals cu frizuri asimetrice care abia iesisera din tura si voiau sa dea iama in pints.
So, daca voiati sa prindeti ce-i mai bun din fructele underground-ului, vineri era ziua. Au inceput baietii rai de la Guillotines, rough as fuck, cu un tobogan de distorsuri si o voce sacadata care m-au incantat la maximum. Pe langa melodiile de pe myspace-ul lor, Boner Rock (buna de un album Hives, nu si pentru cel mai recent, din pacate) are un mare potential, refrenul Whatever happens, I rocknroll fiind mai obsedant ca I am a punkrocker, yes, I am. De remarcat apetenta lor pentru noise care a confuzat putin asistenta, unii dintre cronicari scriind apoi de un sound nefinisat, facut in bataie de joc. I-as trimite putin la raftul cu operele complete de la Einsturzende Neubaten sa afle de ce acele componente ale urechii se numesc ciocanel si nicovala.
Au urmat The Mood, cu un sound mai accesibil si un vocal(=75% din trupa) care stie de ce e important jocul de scena. Melodii catchy, impanate uneori cu pasaje insipide, dar care au impresionat (stiu cateva cazuri) si lume neobisnuita cu genul. Ecoul introdus by default de sunetistul neunderlondon al event-ului a avut de multe ori un efect grotesc (vocea si asa stridenta avand reverberatii de papusa mecanica).
Battant, headlinerii serii, au prestat ca la carte, fara sclipiri, agreabil, in ritm de synth, avand la inaintare o solista cu carisma trashy.
After-party-ul a fost excelent, cei doi DJ de la Dead Sexy Inc. punand-o de o punkoteca veritabila, cu crema genului de la 76 incoace, asezonata si cu ceva Justice si The Knife.
Sambata a scorat sub linia Tamisei. Seara a inceput cu pitorestii vaduvaBOB, apoi cei de la Deluka mi-au adus aminte de o fosta trupa de la noi, Zebre (stiu, sunt malitios), doar o singura melodie, ultima, Flashbats, fiind de pus pe iPod. Apoi au revenit cei de la Dead Sexy Inc., de data asta sub forma de trupa. M-am amuzat copios tot timpul show-ului, pentru ca, desi calitatea melodiilor era de negasit, cei doi frontmen-i au etalat tot registrul de posturi glam, metal, trash ale anilor 80, cu energia specifica lor. Din nefericire, ceea ce mi se parea initial doar o pastisa (au inceput strigand Were Scorpions from Germany!) s-a terminat intr-un performance de gayness cras, morala fiind ca aceste genuri parodiate, vazute la timpul lor ca fiind niste manifestari ale virilitatii, sunt in esenta atat de gay. Probabil, cei de la Dead Sexy Inc. chiar se si cred niste rockstars de altfel.
Totul s-a incheiat cu un after party Camil aka Shake Sauvage care nu m-a convins de la inceput asa ca am abdicat desi am inteles ca a schimbat discul in bine dupa aceea.
Per all, sambata a fost cam in plus. Ma aliez si eu unui comentariu de pe metropotam.ro care deplange manierismul alegerilor de trupe, desi cred ca astfel formatiile de pe la noi au inceput sa ia mai in serios importanta unui synth in reteta sound-ului lor. Referitor la alegeri, am ascultat albumul de debut al Twisted Charm (un fel de Sax Pistols, he), anteriori prezenti la event, si nu pot sa am decat cuvinte de lauda, cred ca au sanse sa ajunga mai sus pe lista NME-ului.
Trivia: pentru prima oara am vazut un bodyguard genul timorat, sensibil la muzica de pe scena, care ii trimitea sms-uri disperate prietenei lui ca nu mai poate rezista acolo; geaca de piele imprimata pe spate cu Warsaw (prima denumire a Joy Division) a unuia de la Dead Sexy Inc.

In primul rand, am fost "certat" ca nu pot fi de gasit, asadar astept sugestii, reclamatii, music info si injuraturi la: crissy.moran00@gmail.com.
In al doilea rand, rareori deschid aceste doua sectiuni ale mail-ului, totusi uite ca uneori merita. Am primit un anunt pe care as vrea sa-l dau mai departe. Treceti peste greselile gramaticale, e doar un copy-paste.
"Esti tanara, frumoasa, dornica de afirmare! Esti o fire dezinhidat, deschisa la nou, fara prejudecati! Esti o fire dinamica, plina de viata, iubesti oamenii si viata! Vrei sa te realizezi dar orasul unde locuiesti si parintii nu iti pot oferi nici o sansa reala de progres! Orice ai face nu te poti descurca singura si te-ai saturat de nevoile materiale, si ai nevoie de ajutor! Vorbele 'La mine in oras nu exista taxi si e doar un microbuz amarat care trece de 2 ori pe zi' iti suna prea cunoscut. Mama si tata au hotarat deja viata ta: "Iti gaseste mama un baiat bun preot sau politist sau in armata si o sa fie bine". Dar tu nu vrei, vrei sa iti traiseti viata si sa fi cu cine vrei tu. Vrei sa te muti in Bucuresti unde oportunitatile si salariile sunt mai mari! Dar stai!!!, chirile sunt mari, peste 350 euro/luna chiar si la o amarata de garsoniera te miri prin ce zona insalubra, trebuie sa platesti pe minim 3 luni avans, sa mai suporti si intretinerea, curentu, sa mananci si sa te intretii pana gasesti ceva care sa ti se potriveasca. Pur si simplu nu ai de unde sa faci rost de un minim de 5000 euro ca sa vi pe picioarele tale in Bucuresti, taramul oportunitatilor, al banilor, si al vietii bune!! Dar stai!!!, exista o solutie, suntem aici sa te ajutam!!! Vrei sa faci videochat si sa ai banii tai, sa fi respectata!!! Noi iti oferim gratuit, cazare in Bucuresti, mancare si tot ce ai nevoie chiar si bani sa te descurci pana vine prima plata din banii facuti pe videochat. Tot ce ai de facut este sa ne contactezi pe acest email (replay) cu detalile tale, sa ne trimti cateva poze cu tine, si sa ne spui povestea ta. Incearca sa fi cat mai convingatoare deoarece numai citeva fericite norocoase vor fi acceptate in acest program de sponsorizare. Va uram tuturor succes si numai bine".

2007 - Ninja Tune label. His mode for this album seems to be funky synthesizer playing as he adds a new fold to his already polished boom-bap sound. An upbeat collection of fun instrumentals with the trademark Blockhead production style, tough beats and catchy grooves that have infected his earlier releases. Cut the drum measures in half, and you've got another album in the same vein as his others, but the addition of more uptempo tracks and live instrumentation separates it from both of them. Blockhead may have always been respected as a producer, but Uncle Tony's Coloring Book shows continued improvement and unparalleled range as an instrumentalist. Underground Rap/ Electronica

1997 Adam F - Colours (Astralwerks label). The album Colours has revealed a refined musician, who can alternate his jungle fever (Aromatherapy, Jaxx) with bursts of jazz-funk (Music In My Mind, Dirty Harry) and touches of mellow soul (The Tree Knows Everything, almost Everything But The Girl). Drum'n'bass/ Electronica.

Caribou - Andorra

2007 - Merge label. This release is dedicated to asia, mostly because Dan Snaith reveals more and more his indie electronic/ shoegaze/dream pop moistures. Leaving behind his Manitoba project (which I really enjoy), Caribou further embraces California's late-'60s psych-pop and perhaps for the first time really lives up to the Brian Wilson tags of his early career. There's less of a "programmed" sound, although the productions are dense with tape cut-ups, layered harmonies, and various percussion lines threaded through the mix. Andorra may be a bedroom record, but it certainly doesn't sound like a bedroom record; it has the energy and intensity of group participation.

La ceas de seara, simpaticul domn Alexandrescu serveste in solitudine o lingura dintr-un boeuf, definitivarea carnagiului facandu-se in public, pe IQAds.
Ne intristeaza prezenta unei sticle de Prigat pe usa frigiderului, bautura de care sus-numitul s-a dezis in cadrul Bienalei de Satanism, Mordor, 2004.
Pare insa ca e genul care ar face orice pentru sete.

Burial - Untrue

2007 Hyperdub label. It's strange to think that it has only been a year since Burial released his eponymous full length. Since then, everyone from in-the-know dubstep connoisseurs to casual electronic fans have discovered the album and generated enough hype to match any weak, pseudo-cryptic advertising campaign. In just sixteen months, Burial have become a "household name" in the UK dubstep/garage scene; his almost too perfect combination of stuttering two-step beats, warped vocal samples, and nighttime ambience transcended most limitations set by the genre. Untrue is a worthy follow up to an instant genre classic; an album that despite various flaws, has plenty of variety, fresh ideas and the ingenuity that many of Burial's peers lack. 2007 P-Vine label. His work is still highly melodic, with a playful edge that dips into everything from folk to jazz at times, and has things in common with artists like Four Tet and Pedro who start out with loop-based music and then take it other places. In addition to music, he's continued his graphic design work for the Rune Grammofon label, directed Supersilent's 7 "concert film" and has released a couple books of photography and drawings. Minimal Techno/ IDM/ and a lot of influences.

1993 Apollo label: Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92. Stories and mysteries surround this gorgeous, ethereal album: that it includes tracks from 1985, that it was largely made with instruments built by James himself, that its success emboldened James to purchase a Panzer tank. Selected Ambient Works 85-92 is a desperately sparse album: thin percussion and several haunted-synth lines are the only components on most songs, and Richard D. James added only one vocal sample on the entire album ("We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams"). Also, the sound quality is relatively poor; it was recorded direct to cassette tape and reportedly suffered a mangling job by a cat. Experimental/ Ambient Techno, IDM.
