The compilation album Music & Migration really is music for the birds - its 21 tracks inspired by both the miracle of the migratory impulse and the human-inspired peril of avian life today. A showcase for the finest in contemporary post-classical composition, idiosyncratic folksong and pastoral soundscaping, it's an album with a charitable raison d'etre that just happens to offer 75 minutes of bewitching, immersive sounds and stands as an enticing survey of where left-of-centre music is at in 2010. Numitul Red Bull Illume e al mai tare concurs international de fotografie pe genul sport de actiune, aventura, neras de trei zile, nu dorm niciodata, am draci pe mine. Muncind noi in fiecare weekend de la inceputul anului, am simtit ca devenim genul enuntat mai sus, in plus ne-am considerat indreptatiti sa pozam si in fotografi, caci lucram in advertising, locul de convergenta, creuzetul, vulva de sinergie a tuturor artelor, mai putin baletul, la care adormim adeseori. Contextul se dovedeste generos si de data asta, oferindu-i colegului Popov o excursie in Australia, unde benchetuieste chiar in aceasta clipa pe Ocean Drive, lasandu-ne sa emitem la prezentari consideratii de felul: "Prin acest concept urmarim sa crestem awareness-ul brandului, folosindu-ne mai ales de notorietatea sa". Nu stam pe ganduri, adulmecam alintaroma contextului si inscriem in concurs o lucrare chestionabila, poza de deasupra, intitulata "Popov in Australia", alaturi de inca una numita "Halirea halibutului", pe care n-o aratam din motive ce tin de prezervarea conditiei umane. Juriul se cam tureaza si ne da cu rama pozelor in cap pe motiv de "manipulare evidenta a imaginii". Ete, ce sa-ti povestesc! Ia uitati-va si voi aici si trimiteti poze la concurs, pana pe 28 februarie. Dar sa stiti ca nu vi le mai dau inapoi si le publica pe Internet, unde se intampla atatea lucruri rele de te apuca groaza, am vazut eu la stiri.

| in chiar ziua desfasurarii celei de-a sasea editii chestionabile zisa si cea mai complexa editie de pana acum (pentru prima data cu live band), iata si rezultatele concursului de denumiri haioase animal-fel de mancare. am apreciat denumirile de connaiseur al anumitot bucatarii asiatice. asa ca, pentru ca la anumite natii exotice, cainele poate fi considerat menu-friendly, am pus degetul pe doi iubitori canini care au rezolvat simplu si inspirat ecutia, adica :) sifeiz. mailuri la iulian.fecioru@gmail.com! ne vedem pe front! |

| 2010, Digitalis. Though this is the official debut recording from Swedish duo Roll The Dice, Malcolm Pardon and Peder Mannerfelt are certainly not strangers to the world of independent music. Mannerfelt has been producing records for years as The Subliminal Kid and also produces for and tours with Fever Ray while Pardon continuously composes for film and television. Having shared a studio in southern Stockholm for several years, they finally decided to join forces in something musical. Each of their sessions together started and ended in the same way. There were to be no pro-conceived ideas going in, but there had to be a completed track at the end of each day. These forced limitations led to a creative cloudburst, finding unexpected passages from beginning to end. Elements of early analog electronics bleed into hints of minimalists such as Terry Riley and Arvo Pärt. Repetition and understated progression engage the listener subtly. | vineri asta, dupa cum ati auzit pe toate canalele media si tumblr, nu stim daca va ninge atat de abundent dar in orice caz virtuozul galic joakim ne va arata ce poate ca instrumentist, lider de trupa si dj in cadrul deja traditionalei manifestari culturale a blogului de fata, chestionabil joint, de la front/the ark. si ca de obicei, impartim 2 invitatii la specialul event celor dintre voi care ne vor impresiona mai abitir cu raspunsul la urmatoare provocare: pe modelul label-ului detinut de joakim, tigersushi, dati-ne o combinatie la fel de amuzanta si exotica dintre un animal si un fel de mancare. deadline: vineri, ora 14! |
