Proiecte ca Wagon Christ (tweaky post-techno and moving through ambient and experimental hip-hop/ trip-hop) sau Plug (experimental drum’n’bass/ drill’n’bass) ce au desenat pionieratul leftfield al electronicii. Fabrica va gazdui un laptop set special si frate, asa cum moby, basement jaxx si kraftwerk dau mana in 2009 la bucuresti, mi se pare la fel de important sa avem de-a face si cu o astfel de legenda care a influentat masiv scena underground a muzicii electronice. in control se mai intampla lucruri iesite din comun saptamana aceasta si anume una din revelatiile recente ale blogosferei muzicale mondiale, cuplul rainbow arabia. avand in adn atat groove de dfa records cat si vibe de orient mijlociu, un mix original care a atras atentia criticii si cautatorilor de exciting new muzici, cei doi vin vineri in club control sa performeze acest gen de world music atat de actual (vezi in clip cum canta live). desigur, 3 invitatii sunt gata sa fie castigate de catre cei care raspund amuzant de bine la task-ul: stiind ca elefantul din poster e atat fan david bowie cat si slumdog millionaire, propuneti un nume potrivit pentru el. pana vineri, ora 14!

seria "dont fucking miss it" se intoarce in control! cine a fost la blurt si a avut surpriza sa-i placa sa se astepte acum la acelasi lucru. asa dupa cum se intituleaza chiar ei, legendary pink dots sunt una din legendele underground-ului european puncte puncte cu o cariera de aproape de 30 de ani si un stil nedefinibil (asta daca nu inventeaza cineva un termen care spuna dintr-o rasuflare neo-psihedelism, ambient, post-punk, folk, noise, synth pop si mai sunt). ca sa intrati in atmosfera lor bizara dar nu lipsita de umor, ei se autocaracterizeaza cam asa. vor fi in control joia asta iar noi ne facem datoria de a va facilita accesul punand la bataie 2 invitatii pentru cei care vor raspunde cat mai amuzant&destept la intrebarea: ce lucruri extraordinare ar trebui sa faca niste puncte roz ca sa ajunge legende? inchidem urnele joi, ora 12.
p.s.: cu o zi inainte, miercuri, tot in control, va fi un fel de preludiu la acest gig, si el de neratat, o parte din membrii trupei vor sustine concerte solo dupa care toata trupa va canta 30 de minute. |

| vineri, la silver church, se incheie un prim capitol de indie romanesc odata cu lansarea albumului de debut al veteranilor nu doar ai scenei, ci si ai blogului de fatza, fiind vreo 3 ani de cand le-am tot comentat evolutia si i-am recomandat constant ca varianta becului ecologic la rock-ul prafuit si anchilozat local. in alta ordine de idei, single-ul al carui videoclip portomecanic l-ati vazut acum cateva zile se poate descloada de pe myspace). primul capitol e desigur foarte adolescentin ca orice faza de inceput, de aceea si opera audio se numeste ingenios "adolessons", cu un artwork "ca-n afara" semnat ghica popa (vedeti tot pe myspace). noi avem 5 invitatii de la ei pentru lansare pentru cei care ne vor da cele mai amuzante parodii de subiecte de teza pentru materia numita "indie rock", formulate, v-ati prins, "ca la scoala". lucrarile se predau aici pana joi, ora 18. |

| 2009, FoF Music. 'Friends Of Friends' is essentially a record label that is pioneering a series of releases celebrating the unique sense of community that arguably provides the backbone for this face lifted genre. The idea is that an artist is asked to produce some music for the label, but that artist then in turn gets the opportunity to commission a producer of their choice to share the release with. Additionally, the two then have control over the split-release's artwork (in this particular case, Kozyndan) and limited edition shirt, which nicely rounds off a fantastically customized project. Following that structure then, USA based über-producer Daedelus was approached by Friends Of Friends to provide material for the first release of this series. handsome furs, un duo/cuplu/proiect din categoria "do not fuckin' miss" vine vinerea viitoare in control, adusi de colectivul one day, ii stiti, acei oameni i(n)d(i)ealisti care isi pun banii din buzunar la bataie sa aduca aici trupele care le plac (*handclaps*). daca recunoasteti vocea "urlatoare" cu xy cromozomial din trupa, asta e pentru ca ati ascultat deja wolf parade, un alt proiect canadian de exceptie. anyway, noi ne facem datoria de a va da sansa sa intrati fara sa platiti la cele mai misto gig-uri din judetul alternativ ilfov, asa ca avem 2 invitatii imblanite in samur cu logo-ul p.e.t.a. pe ele pentru cei care ne vor da cel mai haios raspuns la aceasta intrebare: cu ce slogan ati vinde blana ursului din padure? dati-i blana pana joi ora 18!

| 2009, Fabric / Sub Soldiers. Unrelenting pioneer of dubstep, Everybody’s Talking, Nobody’s Listening stretches Caspa’s limits further than ever before. The 'dopest ghost in town' is on his way and he is going to help you get mash-up. The album swings you along through the deepest dubstep jungle like a demented gorilla in search of a thumping bassline. Heartbeat pulsing and rhythms switching and fluxing like a monster ready to consume your brain cells, this beast of an album refuses to be tamed. Only thing that really does start to grate is the constant use of pointless dialogue and voiceover - but perhaps tongues are firmly in cheek on this front. We were gonna say that it would be amazing to see what Caspa would come up with if he used a more restrained palette and delivered a more downcast shade of bass music, but perhaps that would sort of miss the whole point of the mans music - it is what it is and ‘nuff said. zoom image - asa cum stiti dintr-un post anterior, veste buna pentru cei din insectarul disco, mai ales pentru cei care au dat din antene la in flagranti, spaniolul golden bug vine live pe 15 mai in the ark sa faca musuroiul sa danseze. doua lucruri: unu, pe site-ul dedicat eventului, aspirator (atragator nume!), aveti la listen 3 mixuri utile, un mini-mix facut chiar de catre aspiratoristi pentru a va familiariza cu viata si opera aurie a invitatului si alte mixuri apartinand celorlalte nume din line-up, logan si the model. doi, dupa ce va convingeti cum sta treaba si ardeti de nerabdare sa mergeti la gig, noi va stam la dispozitie cu 3 invitatii deosebite destinate celor care vor raspunde cat mai amuzant la urmatoarea intrebare extrasa din hitul eurovision al anului 1975, interpretat de neuitabila voce de aur elena "fargo" farago:

| 2009, Ninja Tune. It seems that Brighton's Fin Greenall aka Fink, is a songwriter in demand. He recently worked with John Legend on his 'Evolver' album, and being the 'Legend' he is, John returns the favor by co-writing two songs on Fink’s latest offering 'Sort of Revolution'. Fink produced, mixed and mastered his third album himself and it proves to be a fine showcase for his talents. For the most part the only accompaniment to Fink's voice and guitar is Guy Whittaker on bass and Tom Thronton on drums. There is an understated, yet almost hypnotic quality to Fink’s music, as the sparse song arrangements bring his laconic vocals to the fore. There’s a steady, calm centre to Fink's understated funky folk-blues style that suggests he ought to be on Jack Johnson’s Brushfire label, rather than the more dancefloor-oriented Ninja Tune. | oricum ai lua-o, editia vice de bulgaria e o gluma mai buna decat vice de romania, pentru ca ochiometric (vezi foto sus care e din seria de portrete de la lansare de aici) la ei discoteca e prea mica si ceafa turbo-folk prea mare. nu stam incredibil mai bine, dar uite ca gig-urile alternative se tot aduna prin orasul lui bucur si chiar ca, de la decesul republik-ului si, recent, al omagiului, ar trebui o publicatie cu monturi in zona aceasta urban hipsterica. ca ar fi pacat, nu-i asa, ca twice sa fie aici your only vice. sus sus sus, la ruse-n sus! |
